Roy’s Cafe

Join us as Deborah Johnston delivers a special program on one of Corsicana’s most enduring landmarks: Roy’s Café.

Established in 1928, Roy’s has served generations of Navarro County diners, evolving from its beginnings as City Café to Sue’s Café in 1936, and finally becoming Roy’s Café in 1941, a name that has remained synonymous with home‑style cooking and community tradition for more than 85 years.

Deborah will share stories of the café’s colorful ownership history, its role as Corsicana’s oldest continuously operated restaurant, and the deep affection locals have for its welcoming atmosphere and classic menu.

She will also provide an inside look at the current renovation project, a privately funded remodel at 306 N. Beaton Street that includes electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural updates across 1,735 square feet.

Join us for an engaging and nostalgic program celebrating Roy’s Café’s past, present, and exciting future as it prepares to welcome diners back to a beautifully refreshed space!

NOTE: There will be a Board of Directors Meeting following the program.
