One Part History, One Part Mystery, One Part Photography
Join us on December 10th at the Kinsloe House for an exciting and informative program you won’t want to miss!
Michael Thomas, Producer & Editor of 1814 Magazine, and a founding member of the Full Frame Foundation, returns to Corsicana to share the progress on a nationwide documentary about the cache of photographs discovered by our own Chuck Miller at the Copy Center.
“DUST – An Accidental Time Capsule” will trace the history of the collection from its origin at City Office Supply in Corsicana, Texas through its various movements over seven decades to its discovery in 2019, and how through a series of minor miracles these forgotten photographs became an accidental time capsule.
Director Mark Birnbaum, U.S. Army photographer/filmmaker, Vietnam veteran, and celebrated documentarian, conducts interviews with individuals who appear in the photographs, or who are related to the subjects, or have knowledge of the events depicted in the photographs.
The film touches on various themes including family, ranching, civil rights, and public service. DUST – An Accidental Archive, like the photographs in the collection, promises to be poignant, humorous and thought provoking, showcasing our city and its citizens!
