Street, with Amy Tidwell

Join us for an informative & engaging presentation by Amy Tidwell, Corsicana Main Street Director!
Whether you’re new to Corsicana or a longtime resident, the story of Corsicana’s designation as an official Texas Main Street City is a fascinating journey of dedication, revitalization, and community spirit—spanning 40 years of hard work during a time when many small-town “main streets” faced decline.
The Past Presidents’ Council invites hear Amy Tidwell, Corsicana Main Street Director, share her insights on “what was,” “what is,” and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead as Main Street continues to preserve community and breathe new life into our historic downtown.
From dirt roads and railway cars to bustling shops and downtown charm, Corsicana’s history runs deep, and every brick, storefront, and step forward tells a story of resilience and vision.
As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we honor the generations that built this city and the inspiring efforts that keep it thriving today.
From vintage views of downtown from the 1920s and 1930s to today’s vibrant scene, this is a story of progress, pride, and hope for the decades to come. Don’t miss this inspiring look at 40 years of progress and the bright future ahead!
